Diarmuid strongly believes that good design, architecture, urban design makes a huge difference to all our lives and shouldn’t cost the earth, but pays for itself. Diarmuid treats every brief individually and strives to provide bespoke design solutions for every project. His design approach is based on developing a detailed brief with the client and, through this process, coming to a full understanding of the client’s requirements and aspirations. Diarmuid’s work is based on a contextual approach to architecture and urban design, where all projects are informed by the urban, social, economic and environmental context of the project. This understanding of the projects’ greater context allows for the delivery of a project which is a creative response to this context and the client’s brief requirements, striving at all times to exceed the client’s expectations.
Sustainability is a first principle in this design process and not an add-on service. Clarity of the design process is closely married with a clear project management and cost control process, which allows for the delivery of projects within the agreed time and budget constraints and allows for an ongoing dialogue and partnership between all the project stakeholders; clients, design team and construction team.
